2314 - Provision of Support and Maintenance for Checkpoint Firewalls

Tender description

Within An Post, Group Technology Services (GTS), has responsibility for end to end management of the Checkpoint Firewall estate. Historically these have been deployed on premise spread across 2 x An Post owned and managed data centres located in the General Post Office (GPO) and Dublin Mail Centre (DMC). An Post is undergoing a modernisation program by which existing Information Systems and assets located in the GPO and DMC data centres are being migrated where possible to the cloud. Where there is an onsite requirement, those systems will be migrated to two new data centres which are based upon a co-located (CoLo) managed service model. Within the next 2 years the GPO data centre will be shut down while workloads in the Dublin Mail Centre (DMC) data centre will be greatly reduced. At present An Post has a number of physical and virtual Checkpoint Firewalls deployed across the GPO, DMC, CoLo1 and CoLo2 data centres. There are also a number of virtual Checkpoint firewalls in our cloud tenancies. An Post now wishes to tender for maintenance and support of these Checkpoint firewalls. The requirements contained in this notice are based on AN POST’S current requirements which are indicative only, are not exhaustive and are subject to change in line with the business needs and ongoing operational requirements of AN POST. NB - FOR THE PURPOSES OF PQQ, SUPPLIERS MUST SUBMIT A RESPONSE BY THE CLOSING DATE AS ADVERTISED.
