As part of ensuring public safety, The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) continues to advance its research and use of emerging technology. The NPCC wishes to engage with the market in relation to sub 25kg Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and associated equipment. We also wish to engage the market for hardware and software solutions to remotely operate a sub 25kg UAS, for example Drone as First Responder (DFR). The purpose of this Early Engagement Notice is to understand better the market and the available products and services which can be utilised by police forces. This will also include Drone as First Responder (DFR) operations. These products/services may include (but are not limited to) the following; Drones, Sensors, Drone/Aircraft/Airspace Detection, Ground Based Equipment, Detect and Avoid Capabilities, Software, Navigation and Flight Analytics. The NPCC wish to engage with the market to understand potential solutions.
