N70 Gleensk Embankment Repairs

Tender description

The scheme comprises structural intervention works to address existing damage to a section of embankment supporting the N70 at Gleensk, Co Kerry. The scope of works include: Traffic management including interim night-time road closures and provision of a one-way stop-go system during the works; - Phasing and sequencing; - Site clearance; - Design and provision of temporary working platforms; - Installation of a reinforced concrete contiguous pile embedded wall over an extents of 41m; - Excavation of soft material and placement of fill material; - Drainage and utilities; - Drilling and installation of weep holes to upslope rock face; - New road surfacing, signing and lining; - New safety barriers; - Monitoring, testing and instrumentation; - Ancillary works associated with embankment rehabilitation.
