Tender description

Lot 1: Extension of contracts to a single supplier for the Provision of a Prepayment Metering (interim solution) The current single party agreements between GNI and Secure Meters UK Ltd. and Secure Meters Limited (together referred to as “Secure Meters”) were put in place as an interim Prepayment Metering (PPM) solution and acted as a temporary backup or replacement to the existing solution that had been impacted by supply chain challenges during 2021 and 2022. A VEAT notice was issued to the market in February 2022. The original contracts with Secure Meters were awarded without prior call for competition on the grounds that the competition was absent for extreme urgency reasons and unforeseen events. The contracts commenced on 1st April 2022. Now GNI wish to extend the current agreements with Secure Meters. until December 2026 for the purpose of providing a contingency solution to run in parallel to the existing pre-payment agreement. There is no change to the current contract value associated with this extension.
