Provision of Data Network Core Switch Replacements (Black Diamonds) plus Support and Maintenance

The provision of Data Network Core Switch Replacements (Black Diamonds) plus support and maintenance and licenses. 1. (a) Data Network Core Switch replacements 1. (b) Support, Maintenance and Licenses (S/M/L) will commence after installation and acceptance testing milestone sign off. This will start the S/M/L element of the contract for the Data Network Core Switch replacements. The initial term of the S/M/L contract will be 3 years from the date of the acceptance testing milestone sign off. 2. Existing Equipment Support and Maintenance (S/M) and any required Licenses (one off or ongoing). To clarify, this element of the contract will have a separate start/end date to the S/M/L contract that will be in place for (1) above. The initial term of the contract will be three years for (1) above once the Installation Phase is completed. The initial term of the contract will be three years for (2) above from the start date of the contract. Both elements of the contract (1) and (2) can be extended by up to 24 months in 2 x 12 month segments, at the sole discretion of the Authority. The contract price may be increased by no more than the rate of CPI at the time of the new contract year commencing. The procurement was carried out via further competition under the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Network Services Framework RM3808 Lot 2. Additional information: Please note that the contract value is the expected whole life value of the contract (3+1+1 years) acknowledging that CPI for years 4 and 5 - if taken - is unknown at this stage. Please also note that the contract type stated is services but there is an element of Products too for 1(a) as set out in the description above re replacement equipment. Also please note that 1(a) is for the replacement Data Network Core Switches equipment and 1(b) is for the ongoing S/M/L contract that will be in place for the replacement equipment which will begin once the Installation Phase is completed. The initial term of the contract will be three years for (1) once the Installation Phase is completed. For (2) - Existing Equipment Support and Maintenance (S/M) and any required Licenses, this element of the contract will have a separate start/end date. The initial term of the contract for (2) will be three years from the start date of the contract. Both elements of the contract (1) and (2) can be extended by up to 24 months in 2 x 12 month segments, at the sole discretion of the Authority. The contract price may be increased by no more than the rate of CPI at the time of the new contract year commencing. Contract award date and start date are both 01 August 2023 however this had to be set out as start date of 02 August 2023 for the purposes of the form.
