Headway Ireland, Carrigrohane Road, Facility - Extension and Refurbishment Works

Tender description

The Works consist of new extension and refurbishment works -It is proposed to retain block A & B and to refurbish these buildings. -It is proposed to build new single storey links between block A & B, one along the north of the site and one at a central location between the two block. -It is proposed to build a new single storey extension on the footprint of block C and to wrap this extension up along the western side of block B where it faces onto the carpark. -There will be other associated site works, to included access steps and ramps, site services including new drainage systems, site lighting and signage. -The entrance from the main road will be altered to an approved scheme designed by NRB Consultant Engineers. Lot 1: - Works will be carried out on a vacent site where contact and interaction with users, staff, public or traffic is possible – this project is located on the Carrigrohane Road Cork. - Demolitions - Requirement to ensure fire evacuation and life safety system continuity of the building - Interface and tie-in works to existing building - Manual handling - Diversion & modification of existing building services Including temporary diversions - Introduction of construction build and traffic risks to persons unfamiliar with such risks - Noise and vibration: Blockwork, Rendering, Floor screeding, Structural Steel - Exposure of construction plant - Application of protective systems - Installation of pedestrian walkways - Unauthorised access by members of the public - Working at heights and the risks of falling and of, tools, materials and other objects falling and hitting workers - Work within confined spaces - Work involving hoisting to a height - Work involving the use of chemical substances, e.g., solvents in waterproofing coatings, sealants, and protective coatings to steel and concrete - Work involving the use of concrete pumping equipment and skips for placing concrete - Electrical Installation - Mechanical Installation
