The Provision of Lead Project Management, Contract Administration, Employers Agent Services Stages 2-7 for the delivery of the Rossendale Regeneration Scheme

Contract now awarded to CPC Project Services. Rossendale Borough Council (RBC) has been successful in its grant bid submission to the Regeneration project. The Council has secured a £17.9million grant, £1.5m contribution from Lancashire County Council and a £1.8m contribution from Rossendale Borough Council to deliver a number of various projects under the Regeneration scheme. The Rossendale Regeneration Scheme encompasses a number of projects, but split into two categories. The Rossendale Town Centres including the demolition and redevelopment of a new market facility and Union Street public realm in Bacup, and the refurbishment and development alterations of the Rawtenstall Market as the projects main priority. Subsequently and depending on the budget, there is the refurbishment of a Skills and Employability Hub 'The Bridge', and work to improve the connectivity and public realm environment of Rawtenstall. The second major project of the whole scheme is the redevelopment of the Rawtenstall Gyratory. In partnership with LCC Highways, the aim is to improve the traffic flow around the central gyratory in Rawtenstall and ease the congestion.
