The Start Your Own Business Programme is aimed at those who are considering starting their own business, or who are in the early stages of their new business, and explores all aspects of starting and managing a successful new business in Ireland. Over many core modules the course aims to introduce participants to entrepreneurship, self-employment, the legal aspects of setting up, tax and VAT obligations, basic financial management, gaining competitive advantage, turning market research into a sales funnel, innovation and understanding how to build a business plan. Follow up support and networking opportunities to maintain contact and track progress of this cohort of Leo clients is a very important part of the Start Your Own Business Support package. The Start Your Own Business Programme should be a pathway whereby clients progress onto further LEO Supports, such as Mentoring, Lean, Green and other Management Development opportunities that may be appropriate.
