Integrated Sustainability Appraisal (incorporating Strategic Environmental Assessment) for the Swindon Borough Council Local Plan (Regulation 18)

Swindon Borough Council invites expression of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of the Integrated Sustainability Appraisal/Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Swindon Borough Local Plan (Regulation 18). \r \r Project Description\r \r The primary aim of this commission is to produce a robust and up-to-date Sustainability Appraisal of the new Swindon Local Plan which incorporates the requirements of the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 (commonly referred to as the 'Strategic Environmental Assessment Regulations'). \r \r In doing so it should identify and assess the likely social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed spatial strategy, policies and sites together with the reasonable alternatives. \r \r It also aims to produce updates to the Health and Equalities Impact Assessments. \r \r The initial contract term will be for 9 months. \r \r Full details relating to the works are provided in the RFQ documents. \r \r To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. In the event of difficulties registering as a supplier, please refer to the System Administrator Proactis support team ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com\r \r RFQ/tender clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal, including the project reference and title clearly in the Subject title, by 21 April 1200 hrs UK Local Time.
