The project consists of conservation works to the Cupola of the Former Cornmarket Building as detailed in the pricing document & Design drawings and specifcations. The works shall primarily consist of the following: 1. Weathervane: Scaffolding and platforms Inspections/surveys Item removal to workshop conditions Weathering “apron” to copper flashing detail Galvanising, finish & installation 2. Copper: New oxidised copper roof on sarking boards New oxidised copper base flashings/upstands t/w grounds New oxidised copper flashing band over louvre doors 3. Architrave & Cornice Remove sound timbers to workshop Splice on repair sections to existing sound timbers 4. Timber Claddng: Removal & disposal of Plywood cladding and underays New external Timberwork on pressure treated battens New internal Timberwork on pressure treated battens New timbers to semi-circular fanlight over arch – external New timbers to semi-circular fanlight over arch – internal Paint removal from original timbers Applied paint/coatings Installation 2 4427 Conservation Works to the Cupola of the Former Cornmarket Building, Drogheda Civic Offices Volume A: Works Requirement Document 5. Louvres: Removal to workshop conditions Replacement of non-original louvres Repairs to original louvres Fit all new/repaired louvred panels/doors Paint removal Ironmongery 6. Testing: Testing/analysis of Timbers Testing/analysis of paints 7. Paints/Coatings: Breathable paint RAL Colour 9010/9003/9016 – to all timbers Miscellaneous Works: The works will involve working adjacent to and around existing services including: - ESB & Eircom cables. Associated accommodation works.
