BMBC Employment and Skills - Procurement of Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health

Barnsley Council’s Employment and Skills Service have secured a European Social Fund grant for a digital and skills project which will operate across South Yorkshire until December 2023. Advancing Digital is an ESF funded programme using European funding awarded through and overseen by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support clear progression towards higher level skills and capabilities built on a strong evidence base of workforce and business need. We are seeking provision through a call-off contract for training and accreditation for up to 60 participants of Mental Health First Aid Level 2. between August 01 2023 and December 31 2023. The provision will provide learners with; Relevant Nationally Recognised Level 2 Mental Health First Aid Award Training should be undertaken within Barnsley face-to-face. We would want packages to include: Assessment Taught Delivery Course Material Pre-course Reading – If needed Nationally Recognised Qualification Certificate (on completion). We will need to see evidence that you have the recognised and certified accreditation to deliver Mental Health First Aid Level 2. Due to the nature of the project, we are unable to cite demand and those taking up the training will not all be from the same company, and some will be doing so in isolation. There needs to be a degree of flexibility in response. There may be groups of individuals who can undertake delivery in a cohort, either on site at premises or at the providers premises. Provision may also be required for individuals; whether they can join already planned sessions should be made clear. If there is a minimum cohort, please specify. Recruitment of learners falls to BMBC and is dependent on individuals’ requirements accessing the Advance project – All places may not be taken up.
