"Young Carers Thrive" initiative for NHS Mid and South Essex ICB

Tender description

This is a Contract Award Notice to communicate a contract award made by the Contracting Authority; NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, (hereinafter referred to as "the Authority") in compliance with their local standing financial instructions (SFIs). The contract award is made to Action for Family Carers for provision of Young Carer Lead Workers to support the "Young Carers Thrive" initiative across Mid and South Essex. The contract provision is for a Young Carer Lead Worker to work with schools and the community and run a regular Young Carer club in each District of Mid Essex. The project will support Young Carers aged 8 to 19 (approximately 100 Young Carers per year at Young Carer clubs with a further 200 Young Carers and family members supported through their schools or in the community). The contract term is 12 months, commencing 1st March 2023 and expiring on 29th February 2024, at a total aggregate Contract Value of £61,309.49. The Authority is publishing this Contract Award Notice in the Contracts Finder in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended by The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020) for spend above £30,000.
