The refurbishment of 12 no. one bed single storey apartments, 16 no. three bed two storey apartments and the construction of 4 no. one bed single storey apartments, including associated hard and soft landscaped areas, below ground drainage and adopted highways works generally comprising: o Existing Apartment Block: o Asbestos survey and strip o Minor demolitions and alterations o Entrance porches o Works to communal areas o Works to staircases and balconies o Minor internal works to the flats o Remedial structural works o New pitched roof, fascia, soffits and rainwater goods o Full height rain screen cladding o Replacement external windows and doors o Mechanical and electrical installations o New Apartments: o Reinforced foundations and floor slab o Infill openings for form new external walls, windows and doors o Internal partitions, ceilings, doors, finishes and decoration o Fittings and fixtures to new kitchens and bathrooms o Mechanical and electrical installations o Builders work in connection with services o External works: o Site strip and demolitions with minor adjustments to levels o Hard and soft landscaping o Fencing, railings and gates o Planting o Bin and cycle stores o Bollards o Drainage o Adoptable roads, bell mouth, turning head, pavements and car parking o New incoming services o Builders work associated with new incoming services The Council will be using the In-tend e-Tendering System for this Procurement exercise, please visit https://in-tendhost.co.uk/sandwellmbc to access the Sandwell MBC In-tend Supplier Portal.
