This means that the person can be living in Local Authority or other social housing OR private rented or owner-occupied accommodation. The service will be available to all victims irrespective of their age, gender, disability, ethnicity, or sexuality. Target hardening enables those at risk of domestic abuse to remain in their own homes. It supports victims to feel safer should they choose to remain, and it can reduce repeat victimisation through the provision of enhanced security measures.
