S1216 (2023) Charge Management System and Participant Recruitment and Support

NIE Networks are running a trial with the aim of demonstrating that intelligent charging could be utilised to relieve congestion on the distribution network in light of the forecasted uptake of electric vehicles in Northern Ireland. The project will require a Charge Management System (CMS) which is able to connect to a pool of participants’ chargepoints and provide control signals such as network capacity or carbon intensity, supporting the distribution network whilst also balancing the needs of individual participants. In addition to this, the CMS provider is also expected to input into the trial format as well as providing customer support, acting as the main point of contact for customer queries throughout the trial period. Networks seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation onto a framework for a Charge Management System and Participant Recruitment and Support. There will be one Economic Operator appointed onto the framework agreement. The framework will be established for a period of 2 years This is a Framework Agreement and any values provided are estimated quantities only. The actual spend within the framework Agreement, shall be entirely dependent on the works instructed by NIE Networks during the Framework Agreement period.
