The contract begins on Tuesday 27 June 2023, and will expire on Friday 3 November 2023. The maximum value assigned to the contract is £100,000.00 excl. VAT. The supplier of this contract will be required to collect and interpret evidence on existing practices and incentives around transport business case development and appraisal to inform the development of the DfT's programme of work in this area. The overarching aim of the research is to support desired outcomes from the 2020 Green Book review by understanding current appraisal practice and identifying barriers to implementing the changes required in transport business case development. This will support the Department in identifying actions which will encourage the development of coherent and well-evidenced business cases which demonstrate how transport spending proposals will contribute to meeting Government's strategic objectives and provide a robust assessment of the overall value for money of the proposed investment.
