Review of organisational legal infrastructure and associated costs

Tender description

With the Register increasing and the potential for the volume of hearings to increase, we wish to review the approach taken by other regulators and consider the viability of continuing with our current approach to legal services and consider the feasibility of having in-house legal team. We wish to appoint a supplier to: • undertake a review of workforce regulators business operations and how they utilise the use of legal services, including the external commission and/or use of in-house legal team • undertake an assessment of the practicality of an in-house model, considering technical, legal, operation and time feasibility factors • identify operational challenges and recommending solutions • consider how an inhouse legal team will fit and be managed within the current Social Care Wales structure • complete financial projections and cost-benefit analysis of either continuing with the current approach or having an in-house legal team.
