Tender description

PPE recycling is an important sustainability initiative which can help in the reduction of waste as well as saving resources. It provides an opportunity for PD Ports to demonstrate their commitment to environmental responsibility. Between January 2022 and January 2023, Tees Dock and Hartlepool spent over £60,000 on over 7000 garments. The aim of this project is to procure a service that will collect the PPE from the company sites and recycle it, including hard to recycle garments such as safety glasses, safety boots and hard hats, with minimal PPE ending up in landfill. Additional information: This Procurement process is being conducted via the In-Tend e-procurement portal. The In-Tend portal is a web based system that allows the Company to make documents electronically available to Tenderers, receive documents electronically from Tenderers and to communicate electronically with Tenderers. Once you have registered, you will need to find the contract opportunity in the 'Tenders' Tab within In-Tend and then Express an Interest.
