Heritage Yard Gates: Mechanical & Electrical Modernisation

Tender description

The Bank is looking to procure mechanical and electrical upgrade works to our yard gates and related components at our Threadneedle Street location as well as implement modern safety features where achievable. The works include design, supply and installation. The heritage doors are circa 90 years old, approximately 5 meters high and weigh several tonnes. Access to the running gear is extremely limited. The original mechanics are to be removed and replaced where feasible. Due to the age of some mechanical parts it is anticipated that custom manufacturing may be required. Access through the gates is required while works are ongoing. The Bank would like to understand whether suppliers can provide the full works in scope of this requirement.
