Sutton Personal Assistant Support Service (Pilot)

Tender description

The council is seeking a partner to work with to develop a Personal Assistant support service that will help to deliver improvements in access and choice to PAs as a care and support option for people in receipt of Direct Payments living in the borough. Whilst we are receptive to different models we want to achieve the following outcomes during the initial one year pilot period: Delivery of a model for PA support and once agreed it’s mobilisation in the borough Improved choice for people seeking a PA in meeting their care and support requirements PAs having improved access to training, development and support A matching service that seeks to bring people together with a support need and a PA that has the required skills and experience Supports PAs coming together as a group for mutual and peer support Promotes becoming a PA as a career option Within the period of pilot, to identify and secure contributory funding to support on-going sustainability of the service.
