Mount Pleasant National School, Ballyglass, Claremorris, Co Mayo. (RN: 13500R) - Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Upgrade Works – EWS 2022

Tender description

The area of the building for which the proposed works are required consist of the entire main school building, which was constructed in 1986, including 2 number SET rooms constructed in 2022 which have a floor area of approx. 526 sq. metres and comprises of 4 number mainstream classrooms with associated toilets, GP Hall, staff room, 2 number offices, male and female toilets, heating centre, shop, stage area, stores, and circulation areas. The elements which need to be addressed specifically by the Contractor are highlighted below:- • Interface with the operational aspects of the building, proximity of staff, etc. This will directly affect the carrying out of the work. • Traffic Management outside the site. • Liaison with the Client. • The tight nature of the site in addition to the various operatives highlights the need for co- operation & communication. It is intended that the works will be carried out and fully completed and certified during the Schools Summer Holidays from Friday the 30th June to Friday the 18th August 2023, and the Contractor shall have partial procession of the building during this period in order to facilitate staff members in a section of the building in agreement with the Principal /Board of Management.
