Emergency Coastal Works - Ventnor, Isle of Wight

Tender description

This contract was awarded using the Environment Agency Marine and Coastal framework agreement. Due sea and weather damage at the eastern cliff in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, emergency works were required and the framework agreement cited was utilised to award a call off contract to appoint a contractor to assess the scale of the damage and work with the Authority to carry out remedial works. The scale of the contract was not initially known due to the urgent and reactive nature of the works. The site progressively got worse as further bad weather impacted the damage. Further instruction was received on 15 May 2023 that the works are likely to be up to 5m resulting the in publication of this Notice.
