Comparative analysis of Ireland’s utilization of EU free trade agreements

The European Commission data indicates that there is a potential for Irish businesses to increase their competitive advantage relative to third country competitors who do not have trade agreements with the EU by better utilising the EU FTAs. In this context, FTA utilisation is the primary focus of this research, particularly in relation to Ireland’s trade with major preferential trade partners. i.e., countries with whom Ireland have high volume of trade that are eligible for preferential tariffs.
