Supporting delivery of Health and Wellbeing Initiatives With Town And Parish Councils

This is a direct award. Staffordshire County Council (SCC) has a successful history of working with Town and Parish Councils (T&PCs) as it is recognised that small local impacts, can have a cumulative effect on health and wellbeing and prevention across Staffordshire. SCC recognises the considerable activity by the T&PCs and their leadership role in local health and wellbeing and want to build capacity and support to T&PCs to encourage prevention, strengthen communities and create sustainability. Staffordshire has 187 T&PCs and there is huge variation in terms of resource, existing activity and priorities within these organisations. The provider will be expected to offer support to T&PCs in Staffordshire, in order to influence and encourage their development of health and wellbeing policy and activity.
