Community volunteering network (Composting & waste prevention)

Tender description

Set up, recruit, train, manage and motivate a network of volunteers. The volunteer network will be expected to; attend local events; provide help and advice on how to compost (from beginners to seasoned pros); promote the benefits of home composting and the subsidies Buckinghamshire Council offer; Provide help and advice on how to reduce residual waste; encourage reuse, repair, refill, recycling, composting. The management of the network will also include the provision to provide volunteers with the resources that they will require to effectively promote the messages of home composting and waste reduction. The management of the network will require reporting to Buckinghamshire Council on events attended, and volunteer hours spent, number of engagements with resident. Any recruited volunteers would be under the care and control of the contractor.
