EV Chargepoint Supply, Installation and Support (NIEV project)

Tender description

NIE Networks seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation onto a framework for the supply, installation and support of EV Chargepoints. Where possible the trial intends to demonstrate that existing chargers/cars can be linked with the CMS provider’s back office system, without the need to replace the charger. However, in some cases the charger may need to be replaced. The project is therefore seeking an installation partner who is able to provide technical support and installation services – in some cases visiting the participant’s home to connect their charger/car to the back office, and in other cases, replacing the charger with a suitable model and linking this new charger to the back office. The new charger will also be provided by the installer. If a participant experiences issues with their charger, or there are hardware/software issues which affect the trial then visits by an installer may be necessary during the course of the trial. The need for these visits will be minimised as far as practicable through thorough testing during the installation/onboarding visit. There will be one Economic Operator appointed onto the framework agreement. The framework will be established for a period of 2 years and will commence in November 2023.
