BER ASSESSOR SERVICES FOR PROPERTIES UNDER THE CONTROL OF SLIGO COUNTY COUNCIL 2022 TO 2024

Tender description

Sligo County Council wishes to appoint a BER Assessor for a two-year term (with option to extend by 1 year) to carry out BER surveys and associated services on housing properties under the control of Sligo County Council. The Contracting Authority has on ongoing requirement for building energy rating (BER) services in connection with the housing stock. This requirement can arise in a variety of situations including, inter alia, letting and re-letting of properties, routine surveys, acquisitions/sales, pre refurbishment works BER assessments and post works BER assessments, deep energy retrofit projects or other situations. The Contractor will be required to carry out BER surveys on a ‘call off’ basis when the Contracting Authority has a requirement to have a survey conducted. The Contracting Authority does not guarantee that any survey work will be carried out. Furthermore, the Contracting Authority may carry out survey work in other ways at its sole discretion. In addition to the carrying out of conventional BER surveys, the Contractor will be required to provide Bespoke Energy Upgrade Proposals. For the avoidance of doubt, the nature of the advice sought by the Contracting Authority goes beyond the ‘standard’ Building Energy Rating (BER) Advisory Report.
