Tender description

The proposed works include conservation repair and remediation works to a protected structure (WBC Reg No 0120), The Ballast Office, Crescent Quay, Wexford. Works will include the removal of the existing roof covering and rainwater goods, upgrades and repairs to existing roof structure, provision of a new heritage roof covering and rainwater goods. Removal of sand/cement render and pointing to various elevations and rendering and repointing of these various elevations with appropriate lime-based mortars and renders. Removal of existing modern paint finish from sandstone facade using conservation methodologies as specified. Refurbishment of handrails to the front elevation of the structure. Landscaping to beds to the front elevation of the property. Safe access equipment and fittings to be installed to the attic and roof of the structure. Internal works to include stripping out of degraded timberwork, drylining, plaster and other miscellaneous items. Works to include asbestos removal to both the internal and external of the structure.
