Smartply RFT for LAN Refresh at SmartPly Europe DAC'23

Tender description

Smartply Europe DAC are seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified Electrical Companies/IT Companies for the LAN Refresh at their facility at Belview, Slieverue, Waterford, X91 PX75. The Scope will involve the following: - Smartply Europe DAC need to refresh their switching network which currently carries voice and data traffic. At present the network is running mainly small business switches and the business needs to move to an enterprise switching model. Currently the Smartply LAN (defined locally as the Admin Network), consists of a mix of HP Aruba and Cisco SG switches. There is a second network on site that covers the OT side of the business, and this is not in scope. We need to replace all Cisco SG switches on the Admin network with an enterprise supported model. We also need to change our Core Switch with an enterprise level solution. We would expect 3-5 years manufacturers support to be included. All related professional services costs are also to be included. The end goal of the project being to deliver a best-in-class network to support all services not least voice and video. The capability to define QOS parameters around critical services such as voice and video conferencing is critical. New fibres are currently being run to remove existing daisy chaining where possible.
