Natural Gas Supplier - Provision of Meter Reading Services estimated annual cost of the contract is anticipated to be in excess of GBP300,000 Lot 1: Natural Gas Supplier - Provision of Meter Reading Services The Meter Reading contract includes but is not limited to the following services: -The Systematic Reading (Habitual Meter Reading) of domestic, and industrial and commercial meters to enable monthly and quarterly billing of customers on actual meter reads. It is anticipated that the current number of meter points required to be read will increase as the company continues to grow. -Opening Meter Reads – Opening meter reads must be provided for customers using the Phoenix Network (which serves the Greater Belfast area) upon switching to firmus. The reads must be provided within the period of two days before and two days after the switch. -Annual Meter Reads: -Prepayment check reads – The prepayment meters on supply in our own network area and Belfast must be read every year. -Annual Check Reads – The self-read customer’s meters must be read annually. -Other duties include: the carrying out of special reads upon request, reporting broken meter boxes, unsafe meter boxes and tampered meters, reporting error flags and error codes displayed on the meter display screen (s) and any other issue which may compromise the metering equipment, as well as recording access information & reporting on potential gas escapes. -Apply and attending court to obtain a warrant of entry for those properties who have not had their meter inspected every two years, as part of our health safety licence requirement.
