GM School Age Flu - Contract Extension

Tender description

The Greater Manchester (GM) School Aged Flu provision forms part of the mandated national flu program, it targets varying cohorts of children that are defined annually following JCVI advice. Locally, this service covers all 10 GM localities, with the service delivering primarily a nasal spray flu vaccine, and more recently the intramuscular (IM) flu vaccines to all applicable cohorts. The extension allows for the inclusion of the pending national decisions on the development of the national immunisation strategy, the regional insight work that has been initiated and devolvement of immunisation services to ICBs as we are still awaiting this guidance which will be critical to the service specification and will inform future decisions on the service model for GM. Additional information: Future commissioning of services will be undertaken in line with relevant legislation.
