A call-off from Lot A of the Place, Connectivity & Infrastructure Professional Services Framework 2022-2026 (Published 4 March 2022). To develop a draft transport strategy and area action plan for the Borough of Eastleigh which will: • apply the principles and policies of the Hampshire Local Transport Plan (LTP4) • inform the future development of the Eastleigh Local Plan The draft Eastleigh Transport Strategy will cover the whole of the borough and will take account of the views of local stakeholders and the public. It will identify local transport-related issues and problems and consider how these should be addressed. Crucially, it will set out practical measures that can assist in delivering local and national policies for the achievement of net zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050. Work to develop the draft strategy and action plan will build upon existing work undertaken by Hampshire County Council and Eastleigh Borough Council, including their work on potential interventions. It will also make use of the extensive database and analysis (the Evidence Base) that are available. Council and WSP staff will work closely together throughout the project to share information and insight and to explore emerging ideas so that the resulting strategy follows good practice and reflects client expectations.
