Summary of the work Contract with the Ark (rack space) April 2023 Wan circuit completion installed May 2023 Equipment relocation from legacy location July 2023 Detailed milestone Plan completed April 2023 Firewall configuration completed Network configuration completed SAN upgrade completed Blade and Enclosure upgrade completed Project closure and handover to BAU December 2023 Specialist role Programme manager Expected Contract Length 9 Months Latest start date Friday 31 March 2023 Who Speclialist Work With Steve Thompson Interim Head of Enterprise Architecture & Design, Digital, Data and Technology Directorate What Specialists Work On SCW is looking to Relocate one of its legacy Datacentres to a rack hosting organisation. Some infrastructure will simply be a ‘lift and shift’ to the new site, however we are doing an infrastructure refresh at the same time to include our remaining on site data centre. This will include firewalls, networking equipment including the relocation and upgrade of network circuits. Blade enclosures UPS etc. At the same time, we will also be redesigning the network configuration removing many static routes and simplifying the legacy design. Skills & Experience • Must have recently managed a Datacentre migration in an NHS organization • Must have demonstrable experience implementing Express route • Must have demonstrable experience with Cisco hardware • Must have experience with implementing network redesigns • Must have demonstratable experience managing all of the above during the same programme. • Must have demonstrable experience of completing the above within a timebound environment. Work Location Southgate House, Southgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 1UB. Working Arrangments Hybrid and on site will be essential to manage the work required No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria • Understand working in a regulated health environment • Take responsibility for the delivery of the work Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 10% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers 1. Is there an Incumbent supplier? No...this is a new project 2. What is the expected daily rate for this role? 450- 600 a day 3. How many days onsite minimum is required? On average we are expecting 1 days on site a week , although our guidance would be as required. There is no requirement to go to site unless there’s a real need. 4. Please can I confirm if this role is outside or inside IR35? Outside 5. Please could you confirm the working hours for this role? We would assume normal business hours 8 -5 for the majority of the engagement. However, out-of-hours working on occasion during the migration phase is a distinct possibility the PM would be expected to be flexible. 6. Please could I confirm how many stages there are for the interview process? We intend to interview candidates via teams at least once. 7. Could I please confirm how soon interviews are likely to be conducted for this role? As soon as possible. The plan is to engage prior to the end of March
