The demolition of 2 No. outdated 1960’s constructed single storey accommodation units, Our Lady’s and St. Joseph’s, of the existing generator room and of the catering staff changing rooms and catering stores, and the construction of a new two storey 50 bed Community Nursing Unit, of a new single storey modular kitchen to the east of the existing “link” corridor and of a new single storey building linking the new residential accommodation to the existing corridor, all totalling 3994.3m2 of new floor area, along with refurbishment of parts of the existing single storey structures to provide external insulation and new fenestration, provision of 2 No. screened plant enclosures at first floor level, a new entrance canopy structure, 2 no. new external unroofed compounds, 68 No. new surface car parking spaces (in place of 33 no. existing) and 15 No. new bicycle parking spaces, new external gas and oxygen bulk storage tanks with fence enclosures, new low level wall, new landscaping works, alterations in the vicinity of main vehicular entrance and associated site works, all in the existing grounds of Sacred Heart Home, Golf Links Rd, Ardsallagh Beg, Roscommon, County Roscommon.
