Provision of Primary Medical Services – General Medical Services Contract(s)

Tender description

In accordance with the terms of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 Section 17J (as amended), initial expressions of interest, from suitably qualified parties*, are hereby requested for the provision of Primary Medical Services through a General Medical Services contract for various practices within Aberdeenshire. Initial expressions of interest, without obligation, should be submitted in writing no later than Monday 17 April 2023. (*interested parties require to comply with the relevant terms of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended, including & specifically Section 17L). This is a significant opportunity for an interested party/ies to hold a General Medical Services Contract for established registered populations. The detailed contractual requirements will be reflective of The National Health Services (General Medical Services Contracts) (Scotland) Act 2004, as amended. The successful contractor will be expected to deliver the full range of core general medical, additional, and enhanced services, currently offered. Innovative approaches which support long term service sustainability in the area will be considered favourably.
