Award of PM000203 - Cottrell Building Lifts Upgrade

Tender description

The existing installation in each stairwell consists of one independent 8 person, 600kg traction passenger lift, serving four floors with a single entrance arrangement. The lift at AU Stairwell incorporates power operated two panel side opening car and landing doors and at the lift at AW Stairwell incorporates a manual shutter gate car and landing door arrangement. The proposed works comprise the modernisation of the lift engineering installation including improvements to facilitate disabled access and enhance lift safety, the replacement of the control panel and control system cables and, if necessary to ensure compatibility, the replacement of landing call stations, the landing position indicators, the car operating panel. As options for the Purchaser’s consideration, prices are sought for the replacement of car doors, car door operator and landing doors for the lift at AU Stairwell, for the replacement of the car & landing gates with power operated doors and a car door operator for the lift at AW Stairwell, and for the replacement of the winding unit at both lifts. Where particular manufacturers are referred to in the Specification the Tenderer shall base their offer on the particular items called for and no alternatives shall be accepted. Any term imparting the singular includes the plural and vice versa.
