Tender description

The University's Magnetic Resonance Research Department, within the School of Chemistry, requires a laser system with the capability to the capability to cut and structure planar glass devices. The devices will be made from precision wafers (borofloat, soda-lime, or fused silica and other brittle, non-conducting materials) of up to 1mm thickness, and will typically measure up to 50 mm x 100 mm. The required laser system will need to be able to cut up to a depth of 1mm, and produce features with a lateral definition of better than 25μm.
