Upgrade of the Life Safety Systems and Fire Doors at Glenbrohane National School Co Limerick

Tender description

The scope of work for the Life Safety Systems and Fire Doors Upgrade Emergency Works project includes as follows:- a) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant existing life safety systems services to a licenced waste facility – all redundant installations shall be fully stripped out. b) Provision of supplementary containment systems as required to fully contain all new emergency lighting wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained and altered / extended where required. c) Provision of new segregated containment systems as required to fully contain all new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems wiring and cabling systems. d) Upgrade of the existing Distribution Board to provide new dedicated power supplies for the new Fire Alarm System and Swing Free Door Open Devices and Emergency Lighting where required. e) Alterations in the Distribution Board socket circuits section to remove existing MCB’s and fit an individual RCBO to protect each individual socket circuit. f) Provision of new dedicated power supplies for the Fire Detection and Alarm System and equipment in accordance with IS3218. g) Provision of new self-contained emergency lighting throughout the school to achieve compliance with the IS 3217:2013+A1 2017 standard. h) Provision of a new Category L3 Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the school to current IS3218:2013+A1:2019 standard. i) Upgrade and alterations to General Services in Classroom Nr. 04 and Office and installation of new cleaner’s sockets in the entry lobbies. j) Provision of new general lighting in the attic for safe access. k) Replace the existing classroom doors with certified fire doors to current building regulations. l) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations.
