Platform Lift Installation at the UOTC Building, Glasgow University

Tender description

The proposed works include the design, construction and commissioning of a new platform lift installation external to the existing building. A new lift shaft is to be formed in brickwork to match that of the existing building including banding and corbelling. The platform lift installation is to have a minimum platform size of 1.10 x 1.40m and provide access from the external ground level to the first floor of the building. A new opening will require to be formed from the lift to the first floor entrance and all finishes made good. The works are to include all services as required including the adaption and relocation of existing services as required to accommodate the new platform lift installation. All as described and drawn in the design information issued with these Employer’s Requirements. Bidders will be shortlisted on the basis of the SPD submission. Thereafter the preferred tenderer will be identified through the assessment of the Quality and Price submissions.
