Place Planning in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park: Crickhowell Place Plan - piloting a

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority and Crickhowell Town Council are seeking expressions of interest from community development professionals to guide the development of a Place Plan for Crickhowell. The project proposal, for which expressions are sought, comprises two elements. 1. Working with Crickhowell Town Council to create a Community Place Plan including; a. Reviewing and updating existing stakeholder mapping b. Stakeholder and community engagement sessions. c. Plan development and consultation 2. Using the ‘live’ example of the Crickhowell project to concurrently assist the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority in the development of a model mechanism for community place planning in the National Park including: - a. Generic Place Plan project template for use/adaption with other communities in the National Park. b. Generic mechanisms for Place Plan development for use/adaption with other communities in the Park c. Staff training on best methods for community involvement in Place Planning. d. Written guidance on Place Plan development for use by internal staff (A Place Plan Playbook)
