Tender description

National Grid are seeking to establish a strategic partnership with a Third-party logistics provider who has the capabilities to support our entire supply chain. National Grid UK Limited and National Grid USA Service Company Inc. are planning to go out to tender for a new long-term global agreement with a supplier which will provide Logistics Services to the company. This tender is expected to cover our full end to end logistics process, including but not limited to the following: • Inbound freight • Outbound freight • Warehouse management • Inventory management • Customs management • Information and Control National Grid reserves the right to amend the scope of required services prior to tender launch, and it will be at National Grid's discretion to split the award into any division it deems logical, as well as to award all or part of the services that have been included in the tender. Detailed scope of services will be shared with the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) tender documentation. National Grid UK Limited uses Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) for publishing contract notices. The tender is currently being prepared and a PQQ is scheduled to be published on Achilles UVDB in April 2023 (subject to internal governance). Suppliers willing to participate in the PQQ will be required to be registered on Achilles UVDB under both of the following codes PRIOR to National Grid launching the PQQ: • 2.8.6 Transportation Services • 2.8.7 Storage & Warehousing Services Any suppliers not registered under these codes at the time of launch will be unable to participate in the tender process.
