Data Collection for the Scottish Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme and the Scottish School Milk Scheme

Tender description

Scottish Government Education Analytical Services, with the Directorate for Children and Families, on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wishes to commission a research project to collect data on the provision of milk and snacks as part of the Scottish Milk and Health Snack Scheme (SMHSS) and the Scottish School Milk Scheme’. The aim of the work is to collect data on the costs of the provision of milk, snacks and non-dairy alternatives as well as uptake, from day care of children settings, childminders, local authorities, schools and milk suppliers. Scottish Government Education Analytical Services wish to commission research to collect data on the costs of provision, uptake, reach and delivery of the SMHSS and the Scottish School Milk Scheme’. This data will contribute to future budgeting processes and may be used to determine appropriate rates to be paid to settings or local authorities providing milk and/or snacks as part of each scheme.
