Within the Mayor's VAWG strategy it has been identified their will be both a review of funding alongside the appointment of a new DA Commissioner, going forward this would then inform both the remit for the funding on a yearly basis and the breadth of the services remit. Head of Safer and Stronger Communities Jenny Ewel is currently writing the cabinet report to request the exemption whilst the DA funding review takes place, which will inform the procurement of services going forward from 2024. This is a service to provide an independent early help response to promote positive health and wellbeing of children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse. Building emotional resilience and positive mental health through the provision of a range of therapeutic support services. The service is beneficial to families who are reluctant to engage with early help and social care services.
