Tender description

The Network Replacement project intends to replace the old and obsolete traditional network with a new more current design and additional security features. It is in early stage and remains pending cabinet approval as part of the overarching Digital Transformation Programme. Due to the expected timelines of the project implementation, there is a need to secure contracts for continued network services in order to ‘keep the lights running’ during this interim period until the project is able to design and commission the new technology. Approval for a Direct Award of a 3-year contract to Virgin Media Business with a maximum value of £1.491m is proposed for the July 2022 cabinet. This form is submitted in anticipation
