Debriefing for teams and individuals exposed to vicarious trauma Overview of service: It is widely understood that individuals and teams exposed to harrowing and distressing content need support to protect and manage their own mental health and wellbeing. Referred to as vicarious trauma, constant or even occasional exposure to troubling material inevitably has an impact on mental health. Vicarious trauma can be felt by teams and individuals working in a variety of challenging roles, ranging from: Case workers, care providers, carers of children and young people, welfare officers and HR. Through our specialist partners Wellbeing Solutions, Medigold has considerable experience in helping employers and charities support their at-risk staff. We offer proven and practical solutions that support employees, discharge employer’s duty of care, and tangibly demonstrate commitment to staff mental health and wellbeing. We provide these supervision support services: 1. Regular team supervision sessions. 2. One-on-one support for individuals. 3. Ad-hoc one-off support for an individual.
