Tender description
The first phase of a three-phase project to deliver teaching spaces for highend training and course commencement. The primary objective is to align the phased delivery with the Fire Safety Strategy submitted to Louth County Council Fire Services. Fit out works have particular emphasis on the compartmentation of the building, the provision of dedicated escape routes, passive fire protection as well as associated mechanical, electrical and life safety systems. The building is to be changed from being used as Commercial Office space & a Pharmaceutical Research & Development Building to an Educational Training Centre. The project requires the re-configuration of the selected Phase 1 internal space including the forming of new spaces and escape routes to serve as an Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence for various new technologically advanced manufacturing training courses. This phase of the project will require an amount of strip out of existing partition and ceiling systems (shown on the Architects Layouts) as well as the removal and alteration to mechanical, electrical and life safety systems. These is no requirement to carry out any alterations to the existing sprinkler system as part of this phase. The building will be occupied by core staff during the phase 1 construction works. These office and support areas are highlighted on the Architectural layouts included in Volume A Works Requirements. Tenderers must sign the "DoES Suitability Declaration for Small Works" and if requested to do so must provide the necessary evidence of compliance stated in that document within 7 days, including evidence of annual turnover greater than 1.5 times the sum tendered, and Health & Safety competence.
