Request for Tenders for the provision of a Concession Contract for Sustainable Catering Services at Clifden Community School, Clifden, Co Galway

Tender description

Clifden Community School, Clifden, Co Galway requires the provision of a sustainable healthy balanced and nutritious catering service to the school community at affordable prices from a single service provider for the 33 weeks of the school year (School calendar will be issued to the successful tenderer). Continuous improvement, in particular regarding sustainability will be required. The School welcomes all proposals on the provision of the food and beverages in the canteen however it should be noted that the menu must be in line with the school’s Healthy Eating Initiative which is based on Nutrition Standards for School Meals. Special Offers and/or theme menus are also welcomed to attract student’s interest. Promotion, marketing and educating the customer base is key to the success of the service provision by the service provider The service provider may also, with notice, provide tea/coffee and/or light snacks for several events that may arise from time to time out of the ‘normal’ hours associated with the school e.g. Staff Meetings, Board Meetings, Visiting groups, Parent teacher meetings, sporting events. The successful tenderer must view the site in advance of submitting a tender proposal. The site visit will allow you to propose upgrades or changes (fixtures and fittings) to the canteen domestic kitchen area, operate and manage the canteen in the school from the week commencing 26/08/2019 (TBC).
