Tender description

The DIAS now invites tenders for the supply and maintenance of one power efficient virtualisation server. DIAS reserves the right to purchase additional servers in accordance with the terms of the winning proposal. Specification of Requirements Potential suppliers are welcome to quote for upgrade options exceeding these minimal requirements. DIAS will ensure that all tender bidders will have an opportunity to quote for the actual specifications of the winning solution, either by requesting updated quotes from the tender bidders or announcing a new tender. The minimal requirements to be met by the proposed solution are as follows: - 2 rack units size with at least 8x 3.5” hot-swappable drive bays, mounted on moving rails; - at least 2 redundant power supplies; - 2 processors (Preferably Intel based) with the minimal turbo frequency of 2.9GHz, 4x DDR4 memory channels per processor operating at the minimum speed of 1866MHz each and 2 processors interconnect channels operating at the minimum speed of 8GT/s each. The average rated TDP per processor must not exceed 55W; - at least 8 physical cores per processor; - at least 64 GB RAM running at the minimum speed of 1866MHz (all 8 available processor memory channels must be in use); - at least 2 solid-state drives with the minimum capacity of 480GB per drive, sequential read/write speeds not lower than 500MB/sec, random read/write speeds not lower than 50000 IOPs and write endurance of at least 3 drive writes per day over 5 years; - a hardware RAID controller with at least 512MB of battery-protected or non-volatile memory cache, full support of RAID6 and SSD I/O acceleration (FastPath or equivalent if available); - at least two SFP+ 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet Ports and compatible with Intel ixgbe Linux driver; - an integrated IPMI 2.0 compatible baseboard management controller capable of IPMI-over-LAN is sufficient; - no software installation or licenc
