Award of Marketing assets print provision

Tender description

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) would like to make an award for the printing of marketing assets for the next four years using the Scottish Government print and associated services framework. The main project is the printing of the Garden’s marketing leaflets: 1. MARKETING LEAFLETS for the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh’s four gardens, totalling 417,500 leaflets (annually). There are five different leaflets to print as indicated below, and the split of quantities is shown in bold. Leaflet amounts for financial year 2022/2023: Finished size 1/3 of A4, portrait, 6pp (Edinburgh, Dawyck, Logan and Benmore) and 10pp (Four Gardens), full colour throughout, to be printed on 130gsm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify) to be sealed, trimmed, roll-folded and packaged appropriately. ADDITIONAL PRINT JOBS There may also be additional print requests including the following: 2.ANNUAL EVENTS GUIDES – 3 kinds (Dawyck, Logan and Benmore) x 5k A5 finished size, portrait, 4pp, full colour throughout, to be printed on 130gsm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify), sealed, trimmed and folded. To be packaged appropriately and delivered to 5 UK addresses (2 destinations per leaflet): 3.ANNUAL WHAT’S ON GUIDES – 1 kind (Edinburgh) x 20k (1 to 3 editions per year – TBC) The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh may reintroduce its What’s On Guide, which printed up to 3 times yearly. Finished size 1/3 of A4, portrait, 28pp (including self-cover), full colour throughout, to be printed on 130gsm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify), sealed, trimmed, folded and wire-stitched (2 down left-hand side spine). 4.ANNUAL MAP LEAFLETS – 4 kinds x 30k Finished size 1/3 of A4, portrait, 6pp (Benmore, Logan and Dawyck) and 12pp (A3 sheet size) (Edinburgh), portrait, full colour throughout, to be printed on 130gsm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify), sealed, trimmed, and folded (Edinburgh – half-folded + roll-folded/Benmore, Logan and Dawyck – roll-folded). 5.GUIDEBOOKS – 4 kinds x 500: Edinburgh – 48pp + 8pp cover Benmore – 32pp + 8pp cover Dawyck – 28pp + 8pp cover Logan – 32pp + 8pp cover Cover: Finished size 225 mm x 210 mm (landscape), sheet size 700 mm wide x 210 mm high which includes 125 mm flaps x 2 (8pp), 350gsm, full colour both sides, laminated one (outer) side only. Content: Finished size 225 mm x 210 mm (landscape), 150gsm, full colour throughout. To be printed full colour throughout on white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify), sealed, collated, folded/scored, trimmed and wire-stitched (2 down left-hand side spine). 6.ANNUAL TRAVEL TRADE LEAFLETS – 4 kinds x 200 of each A4 finished size, portrait, 2pp, full colour throughout, to be printed on 150gsm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify), trimmed. 7.ANNUAL SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME – 14k A5 finished size, portrait, 24pp (including self-cover), full colour throughout, to be printed on 130gsm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk of equivalent quality – please specify), sealed, trimmed, folded and wire-stitched (2 down left-hand side spine). 8.MEMBER AND DONOR LEAFLETS – 1k A5 finished size, portrait, 6pp, full colour throughout on 150gm white FSC silk stock (e.g. Novatech Matt, Finesse Silk or equivalent quality – please specify), to be sealed, perforated, trimmed and roll-folded.
