Trivallis are seeking to appoint an experienced contractor to undertake the design and construction of of the conversion of the existing school into 10Nr communal flats, and 1Nr house to provide 11 Nr dwellings in total, together with site preparation works, external works and drainage including any required offsite drainage and highways works.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:Trivallis are an organisation that work to improve the social, cultural, environmental and economic well-being of Rhondda Cynon Taff. Trivallis need to address the long-term impact of their decisions, to work better with people, communities and each other.It is imperative that the winning bidder can support the delivery of social value when delivering the contract.Please also summarise below how your company could aid in improving their CSR (e.g. reducing CO2 Emissions, helping local communities).Responses to this section will be shared with our Development team within Trivallis who may contact the successful bidders to implement the principles.There will also be a condition to submit a tender response document surrounding the requirement to deliver a minimum of 15 weeks on site employment for apprentices per million pounds contract value.In addition, the Contractor will be required to provide 5 person-weeks unwaged work experience opportunities per million pounds contract value from a source to be agreed by the Employer. We aim to offer these opportunities to Trivallis tenants and/or young people living in the local area. The Employer is supportive of the use of Shared Apprenticeship Schemes, such as that managed by Y Prentis, to assist the Contractor in fulfilling these requirements where appropriate.
